He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Nye and Jeannette Rockwell Nye; and his brothers, Glenn, Frederick, James and John.
He is survived by: his wife Naomi M. Hunter; his children, Paul L. Nye (Wilma) of Saegertown, Eric V. Nye (Valerie) of Meadville, Colleen S. Nye of Meadville and Terri M. Kindervater (Ken) of Meadville; his grandchildren, Jada, Rachel, Dustin, Jesse, Alexander, Aaron and Stephanie; and his great grandchildren, Wesley, Jovi, Tyler, Lennon, Olivia, Adelyn and Miliana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
