He is survived by: his wife Janet of Conneaut Lake, PA; his sons, Kurt Poeppel (Nicole) of Fulton, NY, Keith Poeppel (Alison) of Charlottesville, VA and Scott Poeppel (Melissa) of Pittsburgh; and his brother Norman Poeppel (Carolyn) of Saxonburg.
