It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Leroy Porter of Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 24, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Porter and Irene Porter (Stanke); his wife Margaret O. Murphy; and his siblings, Alvin Porter, Frank Porter, Mary Hickernell and Norma Carner.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy J. Herr (Donald) of Conneaut Lake and James T. Murphy (Donna) of Conneaut Lake; his grandchildren, Michael Rhoades (Maryann), Jennifer Laird (Scott), Daniel Bowes (Chrissy), Matthew Bowes (Christine) and Leslie Jablonski (Frank); and his brother William Porter (Ellen) of Harmonsburg. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 virus a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
