He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Shields and Emma Shields (Houk); and his siblings, Louetta McBroom and Lysle Shields. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Courtney; and his daughters, Sharon Creeks of Atlantic, PA, Debbie Temple (Don) of Atlantic, PA, Kim Agnew (Bryan) of Conneaut Lake, PA and Annette Hoover (Eric) of Conneaut Lake, PA..
