He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Murdock and Janette Lawson Murdock; his wife Ida Brown; his son Gordon Murdock Jr.; his granddaughter Kathryn Nicole Murdock; his brother Bill Murdock; his nephew Robert Murdock; and his grandmother Emma Murdock.

He is survived by: his daughters, Joyce Hogan (Bill) of Meadville and Jeanette Hart of Conneaut Lake; his grandchildren, Tami Farrell (Bryan), Lori Sutton (Jeff), Lisa Hogan, Jeff Murdock (Kenda), Scott Hogan, Tawyna Morian (Ryan), Jenna Hart, Brad Murdock (Tracy), Jennifer Stutts (Colin) and John Murdock (Kyla); his great grandchildren, Jaiden Hogan, Laiken Murdock, Davis, Zachary Morian, Savannah Murdock, Avery, Rory, Ethel Stutts and Madelyn Murdock; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Tyler Farrell, Natalie Bentz and Brad Stoeger; his great great grandchildren, Emmersyn and Lydia Bentz; and his nieces, Lynn Thompson of Florida, Judy Donley of Florida, Wini Carter of Florida and Janie Schaibly of Florida.

Due to COVID concerns, there is no funeral service.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
