He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Mercier and Virginia Adsit Mercier; and his sisters, Barbara Smith and Doris Ann Smith. He is survived by: his wife Janice Hosick Cottrell; his son Braden Mercier; his brothers, Jim Mercier (Melinda) of Erie and Don Mercier (Shirley) of Geneva; and his half-sister Patty Murphy (Nick) of Moab, UT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
