He was predeceased by: his father E. Perilla Frey Whitesmith; his wife Mazie Sousa Whitesmith; and his sister Shirley Warren (Bill). He is survived by: his children, David F. Whitesmith (Amy) of Westerville, Ohio and Lisa L. Witowski (Victor) of Fairview; his close friend Eva Ketcham; his brother Scott Whitesmith (Karen) of Linesville; and his grandchildren, David, Bill, John Whitesmith and Lauren Witowski Palopoli (Stephen).
