He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lois Nottingham Sheets; his parents, Isaac Sheets and Claudia Sheets (Galford); his children, Douglas Sheets (Lisa) of Meadville and Diane Mariani (Roland) of Conneaut Lake; his grandchildren, Matthew Mariani (Michelle) of Raleigh, NC, Robert Sheets (Lacey) of Meadville and Lea Laman (David) of Washington, D. C; his great great grandchildren, Isabella, Isaac Mariani, Carter, Lorelei Sheets and Zoey Laman; his sister Elsie Setta (Blooming Valley); and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Cope (Townville) and James Nottingham of Marlinton, WV.
