We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2020, at the age of 84, Leon G. Appel (Conestoga, Pennsylvania), born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leon G. Appel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pickel and Mary Pickel; his wife Grace M. Barley Appel; his grandson Alvin Lee Appel; and his siblings, Elwood, Bankson, Bob, Harry, Harold, James Appel, Geneva Trout, Ruth Stone, Dolores Fryberger and Gloria Bowers.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard L. of Holtwood, Gary E. of Holtwood, Steven L. (Debra) of Conestoga, Michael P. (Susan) of Quarryville and Stanley A. (Kathy) of Quarryville; and his siblings, John Appel, Jr. and Betty (Lester Graver) of Conestoga. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
