He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy R. Shaffer and Ethel N. Shaffer (Brumbaugh); his wife Sandra Dellinger; his son Matthew Shaffer (Katie); his granddaughters, Meg and Molly; his brother Harold Shaffer; his niece Karen Mosser (Drew); his niece Carolyn O'Keefe (John); his great-niece Tessa; his great-nephew Caleb; his brother-in-law Roger Dellinger (Signe); and also, Kasey and Terry (Jodi).
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home (810 Bedford St, Claysburg, PA 16625). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark's Reformed Church (11355 William Penn Rd, Imler, PA 16655).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Claysburg American Legion Baseball Team.
