He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Burkett and Mary Burkett Everhart (Eckenrode); and his siblings, James Burkett, Nancy Burkett and Betty Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Patti Burkett (Brilhart); his children, Michael Burkett (Roni), Pamela Strong (Cary Kirsch) and Robert Burkett (Lisa) of Baltimore, MD; his grandchildren, Bradley, Brandon Kiesel, Alanna, Chole, Xander Strong and Braylin Burkett; his siblings, Francis Burkett and Kathleen Stewart; and his niece Lily Brilhart. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
