He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew A. Bero and Evelyn Mary Mihalko; his stepfather George Appley Sr.; and his brother William (Carol). He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Berkebile); his children, Andy (Joni), Judy (Bob Sliko) and Mark (Diane); his grandchildren, Bobby, Matt, Kelsey and Mark; his great grandchildren, Talan, Charlotte and Rohan; his sister June (Paul Bestvina); and his sister-in-law Joyce.
