He was predeceased by: his parent William H.; his wife Letha Lovell Shaffer (Morton); and his siblings, James English, Joseph English, Bob English, William Shaffer, Norma Jean and Josephine.
He is survived by: his parent Dorothy Shaffer (Turner); his children, Robert J. Shaffer (Laura) of Derry, Richard F. Shaffer (Lisa) of Derry and Alberta G. Brindle (George) of Derry; his grandchildren, Terri Todesco (Rob Malloy) of Belleville, Ontario, Stacey Holzapfel (Kurt) of Derry, Joey of Saltsburg, Mary of Saltsburg, Bradley of Saltsburg, Shawn (Dakota Smith) of Saltsburg and Ashley Shaffer (Jeremy Sparks) of Saltsburg; and his great grandchildren, Isaiah Todesco, Anna Todesco, Mackenzie Makarsky, Madison Sparks and Ava Holzapfel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to The Point Community Church, 417-2 Walnut Street, Saltsburg PA 15681.
