He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Cauffiel and Maxine Cauffiel (Ribblet); his brothers, Henson and Bertram Cauffiel (Bud); his former wife Jean Rosage; and his wife Maxine Thomas Kinley.
He is survived by: his children, Jan Zinn (Ken) of Hanover, PA, Richard (Lori) of Harrisburg, PA and Daniel (Sharon) of Simi Valley, CA; his grandchildren, Richard Zinn (RC), Andrea Zinn, David Zinn, Caitlin Cauffiel and Daniel Cauffiel, Jr. (DJ); and his great grandchild Haley Jean Zinn.
