It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Catherine Sax in Conemaugh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Joseph Ley and Mary Alice Martin; her brother William Ley (Fredrick Sax); and her daughter Deborah Sax-Kaufman. She is survived by: her children, Theresa Sax of Trafford, PA and Daniel Sax (Beata); her granddaughters, Zofia and Lena Sax; her sisters, Barbara Crowe and Margaret Brust (David); and her nieces and nephews, Lisa, Karen, David, Jennifer and Michael. She is also survived by relatives, neighbors, and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (609 Park Ave, Johnstown, PA 15902). A committal service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grandview Cemetery (801 Millcreek Rd, Johnstown, PA 15905).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Mary to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
