He was predeceased by: his parents, George Heinlein and Agnes Heinlein (Cosgrove); and his brother Joe. He is survived by: his wife Betty "Toots" Heinlein (Kobal); his sons, Kevin Heinlien (Kristine) and Shawn Heinlein (Erin); his sister Marie Slanac of Johnstown; and his grandchildren, Jordan, Sydney, Logan, Shawn Jr. and Hudson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
