He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ray Porter and Viola Joyce Porter (Pizer); his parents-in-law, James and Bertie Zimmerman, Sr. (Smith); and his grandson Justin Shetler, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Lorie L. Porter (Zimmerman); his sons, Ray Shetler, Jr. of Saltsburg, Jonathan Shetler of Indiana and Justin Shetler (Brittaney Luther) of New Florence; his grandchildren, Skyler Plummer of Kentucky, Brayden Shetler of Bolivar and Andrew Shetler of New Florence; and his siblings, Monica Stadler (Rodger) of Belle Vernon, Wayne Porter (Sondra Carr) of Moween and Kathleen Wagner (Todd) of Saltsburg. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
