He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Dixon and Mary Dixon (Zeiters); his siblings, Margaret Marlin, Samuel W. Dixon Jr., Mabel Gima, June "Ruby" Davis, Frank Dixon, Nora Mae Charles and James "Bud" Dixon; and his grandson Shawnn Thompson.
He is survived by: his sibling Rocks; his children, Stella Thompson (Michael) of Lakawanna, NY and John D. Dixon Jr. (Vicky) of Kenmore, NY; his grandchildren, Steven and Stefanie; his great grandchildren, Alexandria and Elijah; and his siblings, Betty Noel, Paul Dixon and Harry Dixon (Carol) of Colver. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
