She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene F. Smith, Sr.; and her siblings, Thomas, Raymond, Robert, Samuel Grab, Anna "Sue" Welsh and Pauline Giandalia.
She is survived by: her children, Col. Ann Louise Smith, Elizabeth V. (Jeffrey B. Becker) of Hellam, Kathleen M. Smith of Tucker, GA and Eugene F. Smith, Jr. of Columbia; her grandchildren, Amy Abel (Bill Seneft) of York, Lisa (Christopher Gilbert) of Mount Pleasant, SC and Jean (Shawn Leiphart) of Hellam; her great grandchildren, Madeline Abel, Lauren Abel, Colton Leiphart, Ella Gilbert and Nathan Gilbert; and her sisters, Janet Gainer and Alice Marie Sensenig. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
