She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Schäffling and Elise Charlotte Schäffling. She is survived by: her husband George Samuel Gabert; her children, Andrea Lessig (Jason) and Mark Gabert (Sandra); her grandsons, Leo and Max; her sisters, Edith Albrecht and Inge Hörhammer; and her friend Ruth Lansinger.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Apostolic Church (2425 Spring Valley Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601).
