He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Haldeman and Catherine Haldeman (Faltin); and his brothers, Robert, William, James and Kenneth Haldeman.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peg" A. Haldeman (Giandalia); his children, David M. Haldeman (Heather), Bryan J. Haldeman (Diane) and Melissa Haldeman Smith of Columbia; his grandchildren, Alexis, Brooke, Chloe, Noah, Allison and Kinsley; and his siblings, Michael Haldeman (Diane), Charles Haldeman (Wei-Chiang Lin), Carol (Deacon Murry) and Joan Guidi.
