He was predeceased by: his parents, George Eichelberger and Stella Eichelberger (Fry); his wife Betty Howells; his children, Eric Eichelberger and Elaine Schafer; and his granddaughter Melissa Eichelberger.
He is survived by: his close friend Linda L. Garrison; his sons, James J. Eichelberger (Linda), Jeffrey Eichelberger (Nancy) and Timothy Eichelberger; and his son-in-law Arlan Schafer.
