He is survived by: his wife Carol Schoelkoph Vera; his children, Theresa (Leo "Jim" Bowers), Gregory S. Vera, Jr. and Jennifer (Daniel Wisotzkey); his grandchildren, Rachael Bowers, Sgt. Ryan Vera, Bradyn Wisotzkey and Tegan Wisotzkey; and his siblings, Scott (Michelle Benedict) and Joni (Donald Groom).
