He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis J. Nikolaus, Sr. and Bernadette Wasche Nikolaus; his son Francis J. Nikolaus III; and his sister Marie Wiseman. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Aston Nikolaus; his son James T. Nikolaus (Melissa Leto) of Wrightsville; his stepson Jeremy D. Aston (Heather Hess) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Blake Love, Amber Nikolaus, Kendra Aston, Kylie Nikolaus and Ethan Nikolaus; and his siblings, Stephen (Marge Nikolaus), Michael (Deborah Nikolaus), Robert (Joan Nikolaus), Bernadette (James Horn) of Columbia, Anita (Randy Ross) of Columbia, Regina (Dennis Fisher) of Columbia and Paula (Michael Diffenderfer) of Columbia.
