He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ann, Benjamin, Robert and William. He is survived by: his spouse Evelyn Shaub; his children, Thomas Johnston, Jr. of Columbia, Michael Johnston of Millersville, Eric Johnston of Millersville, Elizabeth Johnston of Millersville, Kathleen Johnston of Columbia and Elissa Eshleman; and his sister Ruth Schaal of Ontario. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
