She was predeceased by: her husband W. Everett Smythe; her parents, Aaron Lefever and Florence Landis Lefever; and her brothers, Charles, George and Robert Lefever.
She is survived by: her children, Leon E. Smythe, Dolores A. Smythe, Lois E. Smith, Peggy S. Frey (Jeffrey D.) and Russell L. Smythe; her grandchildren, Steven M. Smith, Jr., Dennis Smythe, Angela M. Smith, Amy L. Fasnacht (Matthew) and Matthew R. Brown (Ryan); her stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey D. Frey, Jr. and Chrissy Kihm; her sisters, Bertha Martin and Cora Lockwood; and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Smythe.
