He is survived by: his wife Philomena Cermignano; his children, Joseph G. Cermignano, Jr., Catherine M. Cermignano and Patrick Cermignano (Tina); his grandchildren, Samantha Lynn Innis (Jacob), Phillip Cermignano and Nicholas Cermignano; and his sister Elvira Canamucio (Joseph).
