He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter F. Sames and Mary Sames (Drissel); and his brother Jay R. Sames. He is survived by: his wife Janice L. Sames (Tietjens); his children, Rob Patrick and Dawn Gaddy; his grandchildren, Janae and Justin Gaddy; and his siblings, Walter F. Sames, Jr. (Peg) and Joyce L. Erb (Ronald). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
