He was predeceased by: his wife Merna J. Meisel (Mahaffey); his parents, William A. Meisel and Martha E. Meisel (Long); and his siblings, Charles Meisel, Estella Fink, Sara Riddell, Ruth Davis, William Meisel, Jr., Norwood Meisel and Harold E. Meisel.
He is survived by: his children, Diane L. Leidhecker (Ron) of Cogan Station, Barbara J. Heisey (Jacob) of Jersey Shore and David L. Meisel (Dawn) of Cogan Station; his grandchildren, Eric (Jill), Mark Leidhecker (Ashley), Alan Heisey (Jonelle), Becky Bitler (Jesse), Ellamae, Jonathan, Christopher Heisey, David and Danika Meisel; his great grandchildren, Noah, Mason Leidhecker, Levi Bitler and Jake Heisey; and his brothers, Robert Meisel of Florida and Ernest Meisel of Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Luther's name to the St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 1877 St Michaels Rd., Cogan Station, PA 17728.
