Dorothy L. Phillips Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2025, at the age of 98, Dorothy L. Phillips of Cogan Station, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Dorothy's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Dorothy has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adelbert J. Stadler and Zelma A. Stadler (Smith); her husband Gordon B. Phillips; and her granddaughter Rae L. Cartwright. She is survived by: her children, Margaret A. "Peggy" Ellison (Keith) of Williamsport, Lynda L. Phillips of Williamsport and Robert "Paul" Phillips (Cynthia) of Montoursville. She is also survived by 08 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home- Montoursville (733 Broad St, Montoursville, PA 17754). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (100 Walnut St, Montoursville, PA 17754).
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at mccartythomas.com.
