He is survived by: his wife Judith Hodges Melrath; his grandchildren, Chelsea Melrath (Nick Kunkel) of Coatesville, Ryan Aston (Areanna Bassler) of Downingtown, Jared Aston of Coatesville, Katie Rauscher (Maddi) of Parkesburg and Ian Aston of Coatesville; his stepgrandson Bryan Speese of Lancaster; his daughter-in-law Julie Melrath of Quarryville; his great grandchildren, Benji Buckley of Coatesville and Bishop Aston of Downingtown; and his sister Jackie Milanese of Coatesville.
