He was predeceased by: his parents, Bartholomew Fitzsimons and Mary Kate Fitzsimons; and his wives, Kathleen Fitzsimons (Murphy) and Julia W. Fitzsimons. He is survived by: his children, James Gerard (Susan), Marian, Bartholomew (Diane), Kathleen Liedel, Kenneth and Kevin Fitzsimons (Kimberly); his brothers, Bartholomew and Joseph Fitzsimons (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Will, Scott, Erin, Kevin Liedel, Shannon L. Swanda, Brian, Jared, Patrick, Karen, Kenneth II, Sarah, Colin, Sean, Katie Fitzsimons, Dierdre Reed and Tara Hughes. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
