He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren A. Hanna and Suzanna Edwards Hanna; and his daughter Bethanne E. Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Marguerite J. Davis Hanna; his children, Warren J. Hanna, Jr. (Wendy), Wayne E. Hanna (Tracy) and Aimee D. Moore (Kirk); his son-in-law Vern Murphy (Sherry); and his brother Russell E. Hanna (Lorraine). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
