He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Burney (Butler) and John Burney, Sr.; his stepmother Mae Ellen Burney; his brother Barry Burney; and his grandparents, Sarah and Jessie Burney.
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Williams (Marcus) of Philadelphia, Veronica Burney of Harrisburg, Kathy Poole (Mike) of Harrisburg, Sadie Burns of Harrisburg, Bonita Burney of Harrisburg, Barbara Burney of Harrisburg, Leticia Garnes (Jeffery) of Harrisburg, David Burney (Selena) of Harrisburg, Nanette Burney-Mitchell (Kevin) of Harrisburg, Marcella Burney of Arizona and Keith Burney of Harrisburg. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
