He was predeceased by: his wife Edna May Bickings Liney; his parents, James J. Liney, Sr. and Catherine E. Groce Liney; and his daughter Charlotte Liney. He is survived by: his children, Jean Liney, Dawn Currier, James Liney, III, Ann Barnett and Brenda Rogers; and his sister Catherine E. McKinnon. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
