She was predeceased by: her husband Calvin E. Pennell; her parents, Frank Garress and Mary Marsh Garress; her grandson Victor Ferguson; and her siblings, Charles "Chap" Garress, Chester Garress, Doris Hash and Betty Young.

She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Kiehl, Evelyn Arcaro (Russ) of Coatesville, PA and Susan Apollo (Tim) of Ocean City, MD; her grandchildren, Monica Siegfried, Rachele Jones, Nina Miller, Vernon Ferguson III, Lori Poole and Matthew Apollo; and her siblings, Frank Garress, Eugene Dietz, Richard Dietz, Mary Ann Scott and Darlene Painter. She is also survived by Eleven great grandchildren and two great greatgrandchildren.
