She was predeceased by: her husband John "Cap" Smith; her parents, Marvin Stern and Edith E. Stern; and her brother Ellis Stern. She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Gabel (Butch) of Middleburg, PA and Nancy Miller (Tracy) of Gap, PA; her grandsons, Craig Gabel (Rachel) of Middleburg, PA and Dr. Keith Miller of Mrytle Beach, SC; and her great grandchildren, Joseph and Caitryn Gabel of Middleburg, PA..
