He is survived by: his children, Mary Ellen Opp (Thomas) of West Chester, PA, Ruth Ann Batten of Coatesville, PA, Edward Kane Jr. (Susan) of Springfield, PA and Barbara Jean Smith of Coatesville, PA.; his grandchildren, Laura, Jillian, Joseph (Cindy), Stephen (Maria), Alexis Ruth (Steve), Edward III (Kiera), Nicholas, Emily, Morgan and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Layla, Austin, Abigail, Genevieve, Hadley, Demi, Brooks, Laughlin and Ford; and his sister Margaret Coleman (Jack). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
