She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry J. Gardner and Helen E. Ruggeri. She is survived by: her children, William E. Barnes Jr., Sharon Hayduk (John), Mark A. Barnes Sr. (Rachel) and Scott A. Barnes; her grandchildren, John Hayduk Jr., Alexander Hayduk, Mark A. Barnes Jr., Robert Barnes, Jared Barnes, Aidan Barnes and Landon Barnes; her great grandchildren, Jamison Barnes, Jackson Barnes, Jennings Barnes and Charley Hayduk; and her boyfriend Philip Bey III.

Contributions may be made in Carol's name to the Saint Jude's Children Research Hospital and Brandywine Valley SPCA.
