He was predeceased by: his father Hollis Harris; and his brothers, Robert Canton and George Canton. He is survived by: his mother Bertha Canton; his son Michael Canton (Marsha); his stepdaughter Michelle Brown; his grandchildren, Gamond, Camaryn and Alondra; his sisters, Barbara Canton and Bessie Wilson (Marjorie Phillips) of Missouri; and his close friend Faridah Abdul-Latif. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
