He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Sr. Palmer and Emma Palmer (Freeman); his wife Anna Palmer (Reilly); his granddaughter Jennifer Shawley; and his siblings, Emma Jean Palmer, Donald Palmer and Janet Monroe.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Palmer of Coalport, Thomas Palmer (Ellen) of Coalport, JoAnn Shawley (Jan) of Coalport, James Palmer (Kathy) of Coalport, Robert Palmer of Coalport, Ronald Palmer (Kim), Mary Peoples (Mike) and Janet Grimes (Dan) of Mundy's Corner; his sister Faye Baker (George Miller); and his sister-in-law Colleen Palmer of Southington, OH.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. (1303 Bigler Ave, Northern Cambria, PA 15714). The military honors will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Basil the Great Cemetery (183 Locust St, Coalport, PA 16627).
