He was predeceased by: his parent Melvin Gaddes; his stepfather Anthony Latz; his son Betty Hoffa; and his sister Jean Gangaware. He is survived by: his spouse Mildred R. Gaddes; his parent Dorothy Gaddes Latz; his daughters, Sharlotte Ann West (Albert) of Durham, NC and Margaret Elizabeth Hicks (William) of Mebane, NC; his grandchildren, William Adam West, Morgan Ann West, Edward Hicks, Jacob Hicks, Brenna Hicks and Esteban Hicks; and his brother David Gaddes of Harrisburg, PA.
