He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Richards and Hilda Richards; his daughter Lou Ann Gill; and his brothers, Norman H. Richards, Clarence Richards, Ronald Richards and Col. William Richards.

He is survived by: his granddaughters, Samantha Lahue (Alexander) of Slatington, PA and Nicole Gill of Bethlehem, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
