He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Hooper (Geist) and William Hooper; his wife Margaret Hooper (Ferster); his son P. Richard Hooper; his sister Annabell Pensyl-Mecury; his nephew Freddie Moody; and his nieces, Kathleen Pensyl and Valory Strausser.
He is survived by: his daughter Dianne Lenig-Mushinski (Joseph); his sister Patsy Strausser of Michigan; his granddaughters, Margaret Lenig-Rocco (Nick) and Trisha Lenig-Sponenberg (Michael); his son-in-law Harold Jamison; his great grandchildren, Jordan Wagner (Michelle), Megan Wagner (Casey) and Evan Jamison (Kristina); and his great great grandchild Kieran Jamison.
