With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John S. Bowes of Clinton, Pennsylvania, born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 11, 2023 at the age of 105. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Erieg; his brothers, Bill, Jim and Joel; and his cousin Henry Mellinger.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth S. Taylor of Monrovia and Jean B. Shepherd of Lock Haven; his grandsons, David, Andrew Taylor and Adam Shepherd; and his great grandchildren, Leela and Lukah Taylor.
In lieu of flowers or donations, friends are encouraged to appreciate God's blessings, the natural beauty of Pennsylvania, and the good sense and decency of the folks of Lock Haven.
