He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin and Barbara Franklin (Bradley). He is survived by: his wife Desiree Franklin (Whitfield); his children, Desanbra Olafioye (Jovan) of Dennie, Franklin, II and Dezmond Franklin; his grandchildren, Dezyrah, Jovan "JoJo", Jr. and Jozyah Olafioye; his siblings, William Franklin, Jr. (Phyllis), Cynthia Williams (Charles) and Kerrick Franklin (Nicosia); and his parents-in-law, Robert and Sandra Whitfield, Sr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
