She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sheldon and Blance Young (Busha); her husband Guy L. Shope; her daughter Debra A. Shope (Freeman); her grandchildren, Terry Ray and Amber Renee; and her brother William Young.

She is survived by: her son Ronald; her daughter-in-law Nancy Shope of Texas; and her sister Josephine Kraus. She is also survived by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two great great grandsons.
