He is survived by: his children, Cynthia DiPhillipo (David) and Brian Merkins (Josh Simpson); his grandsons, Dylan DiPhillipo (Katelyn Williams) and Dalton DiPhillipo; his great grandchild Alana; and his brother Lewis Merkins.
