She was predeceased by: her husband Charles H. Horton; her parents, Kathryn Gibbon (Dasenburg) and Ishmael Gibbon; and her siblings, Shirley and Robert.
She is survived by: her son Bill (Hilda); her granddaughter Hannah; her daughters, Paula (Jeff Fearn) and Alane (William Smith); and her sister-in-law Jane Strickland (Horton). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family gratefully declines flowers, but Joan would like if you performed a random act of kindness or a memorial contribution in Joan's name to an animal's or children's charity of one's choice.
