With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeffrey L. Barney of Clifford, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 18, 2022 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria Bossick; his mother Deanna Barney Counterman; his son Darryl Barney; his grandson Joseph Maddage; and his brother Scott Counterman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gloria Maddage of Carbondale, PA, Francine Barney of Jermyn, PA and Mary Brown (Shawn) of Clifford Township, PA; and his siblings, Winona Kashif of Virginia, Teri Counterman of Carbondale, PA, Daniel Barney of Carbondale, PA, David Counterman of Union Dale, PA, Phillip Counterman of Honesdale, PA and Clancy Counterman of Lake Ariel, PA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
